Guided Home Realty respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to guidedhomerealty.com and any services we provide through this site.
We collect information you give us directly, name, email, phone number, and property address, when you request a valuation, schedule a showing, or contact us through the site. If you work with us on a transaction, we also collect the information required to represent you, such as financial pre-qualification documents and identification. We also collect information automatically when you visit the site: IP address, browser type, device, referring page, and the pages you view. This is gathered through standard analytics tools and helps us understand how the site is used.
We use your information to respond to your inquiries, deliver comparative market analyses, schedule showings, process transactions, and, with your consent, send market updates and new listings that match your criteria. We also use aggregated analytics to improve the site, and we retain records as required to comply with California real estate and tax law.
If you opt in to text messages from Guided Home Realty — by checking the consent box on one of our forms or by texting us first — we will send you messages such as account and transaction updates, appointment confirmations and reminders, notifications when a report or document you requested is ready, and replies to questions you text us. Message frequency varies based on your activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or reply HELP for assistance. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving our services. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are not shared with, or sold to, any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with vendors and service providers acting on our behalf solely to deliver the messages you have requested. If you use Guided Loans or our in-house lending services, you may provide financial documents such as bank statements, pay stubs, and tax returns. This is nonpublic personal information, and we handle it in line with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act Safeguards Rule. We store these documents only in an encrypted, access-controlled, tamper-evident archive, use them solely to prepare your pre-approval and loan file, and share them only with the parties needed to process your loan. We ask for your consent before we retain them, and you can email privacy@guidedhomerealty.com at any time to ask what we hold.
California residents have the right under the CCPA to request disclosure of the personal information we hold, to request deletion, and to opt out of any sale of personal information (we don't sell). To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@guidedhomerealty.com. We will verify your identity before responding and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Some records we are legally required to keep, such as signed transaction and loan documents held under a retention lock, cannot be deleted before their required retention period ends; we will explain any such exception when you make a request.
Property inquiries and lead records are retained for three years from last contact. Transaction records, contracts, disclosures, and closing documents are retained for seven years as required by California Business and Professions Code. To protect them, finalized transaction and loan documents are also preserved in a dedicated, encrypted archive under a retention lock: once a document is stored there, it cannot be altered or deleted for a minimum of three years, and longer where the law requires.
We protect your information using industry-standard safeguards: HTTPS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, strict access controls, and regular review of our vendors' security practices. Signed transaction and loan documents are held in a separate, access-controlled archive, encrypted with managed keys and made immutable for their retention period so they cannot be tampered with. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat client data with the care it deserves.
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. The 'Last updated' date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on the site.
